This position provides administrative support for the center director, faculty and students; represents the center to UO and external constituents; arranges public events and coordinates marketing of center programs.  The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree; three years of office and project management experience; strong oral and written communication skills; and experience using computers for word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.  Marketing experience desired.  Salary range $35,000 - $40,000. This position is based in Portland.

The School of Journalism & Communication
The Eugene-based school serves more than 1,400 undergraduate students as premajors and majors in advertising, communication studies, electronic media, magazine, news/editorial and public relations and approximately 80 graduate students in master’s and doctoral programs.  The school offers doctoral and master’s programs in communication and society as well as professional master’s programs in news/editorial, magazine and literary nonfiction.  The school opened its George S.
