Welcome to the new Flash!
Vol 1, No. 1, May 2008
Greetings from Allen Hall, and welcome to the first edition of the new Flash, the electronic newsletter of the School of Journalism and Communication. We are looking forward to keeping you better informed about what’s happening with students, faculty members, and alumni of the SOJC, both in Allen Hall and at the school’s George S. Turnbull Portland Center. Once a month, we’ll send you this update linking you to the latest news, photos, blogs, and video on the SOJC website. We haven't done away with print entirely—you can also look forward to periodic updates from us in your "real" mail as well as a "yearbook" in September. This change allows us to conserve precious resources while becoming better connected with you. We hope you enjoy the first issue. We value your feedback and look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions. Please send story ideas, too. E-mail flash@uoregon.edu.
Finally, if you haven’t already, please take a moment to complete a brief alumni survey and submit an alumni note.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Tim Gleason Edwin L. Artzt Dean
