Creating a slide show
Step-by-step instructions for creating a slide show of images.
- Unless instructed otherwise, go to your My Folder to create the slideshow by clicking on the My Folder link in the upper right of the page.
- Create a new folder for your slideshow by choosing Add Item, Folder.
- Give the folder a name, preferably something short that describes your set of images.
- Give the folder a longer description by adding more detailed text to the description field.
- Click Save. This will save the folder and show you the contents of your folder, which, as this point, is empty.
- Click on the State menu and choose Publish.
- Add images by choosing Add item, Image
- Click browse and select one of the images you wish to add.
- Give the image a short but descriptive name in the name field. This will appear at the bottom of your image when it appears in the slideshow.
- Write a more detailed description of the image and include photo credits because this, too, will appear at the bottom of your image in the slideshow.
- Click Save to upload the image.
- Your image will be displayed for you. In the upper right of the image, click on the State menu and choose Publish. This will make the image viewable by the general public.
- Repeat the previous steps for each mage you wish to include in the slideshow.
- Go to the "You are here" navigation at the top left and click on the folder name.
- Set the view of the folder to one of the slideshow options by clicking on the Display menu and selecting one of the three Image Gallery options.
